Thanks for the vote of confidence Carol. Do you know any non-profits (versus non-prophets) who are twittering? I haven’t really tapped into that greater community too successfully… this time, anyway!

Yeah, I’m really ready for new blog design here. Being much less of a web designer than a print designer, I’m trying to evolve efficiently. Am considering blog themes to then modify.

Thank you Jamie for your request, and for the work your organization does on behalf of animals.

My dog Harry was rescued from a kill shelter (oxymoronic?!) in Virginia by a network that brought him here to NJ. We love people like you!

You’re right to throw that term (MY own term!) “deserving” back at me – clearly you need people to contribute to your efforts. And you also deserve to have your mission recognized for the good it does us all as humans.

True to my offer, I’ll be deciding soon on who I’ll help, but who am I, really, to say who’s more deserving?

Hi Bruce! Saw your post on Twitter and thought I’d make my way to your blog and suggest my nonprofit.

I run an animal rescue called Saving Shelter Pets, Inc (www.savingshelterpets.com). I just got us up and running on Twitter about a month or 2 ago, and I’m looking forward to meeting many more animal lovers through this network. Here’s our page: http://www.twitter.com/sspets

Our nonprofit focuses on saving cats & dogs from high-kill shelters in Georgia. We also work with other rescues to help sponsor low-cost or free spay/neuter clinics across the US (currently in Georgia, Ohio, and Indiana).

I am hoping that we can come up with a Twitter background consistent with our current “look” which includes our logo (found on our website), a light blue & green theme, and photos of dogs/cats rescued through our organization.

I hope you deem our organization “worthy”, and we look forward to hopefully hearing from you soon!

Thanks for your interest, Doug. Just to be clear, the offer is for Twitter background and not necessarily for a logo appearing on that background. A logo design is a project unto itself, and also has a life of it’s own beyond the Twitter background – print , display, other online transmissions…

Also, I see that usjaycees.org has marketing resources available for your chapter to use; is that not desirable?

Anyway, I’ll consider the request, but a) I’m hoping to choose from a few commenters, and b) I need to consider being even more specific about what’s included in my offer.
